Born in a remote village, Ziradei in Bihar, Dr. Rajendra Prasad
was a leader of his own kind. He was a true Gandhian and called
Gandhi of Bihar’.
Apart from a leading freedom fighter he is considered to be
one of the architects of the Indian Republic. He was the
President of the Constituent
Assembly that drafted our
constitution.
Dr. Rajendra Prasad also briefly served as a Cabinet Minister
in the first Government of Indian Republic. He later became the
first President of India and was the only one who held the post
for two terms consecutively
