What Price Freedom is an earnest effort to present objectively the socio-political developments of the four decades (1947-47) prior to independence, and of the two decades (1947-67) after India became an Independent sovereign state. In this seminal work, Mohamed Raza Khan explain with ample evidence how muslims, the largest religious minority in India, had been both misunderstood and misrepresented in pre and post independent India. The author was a witness, and at times participant in many historical events that unfolded in the twentieth century India. Throughout the work, Raza Khan resorts to objective factual narration and leaves the readers free to form their own conclusions.
